From Morning Prayer:


“Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of extortion and wickedness.

You fools!

Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?

But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, everything is clean for you."

(from the Gospel of Luke)

*'Pharisee' A Jew who was a particular sect.  Legalists who felt superior to other Jews.

I pray that this text finds you repenting at the name of Jesus Christ.

I pray that we may all have had a day of alms giving.

Please pray for all those listed in all the parts of the litany from yesterday.
