From Morning Prayer:

1st Friday of Lent

(No meat)

Jesus said to his disciples:

“The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed

and on the third day be raised.”

(from the Gospel of Luke)

I pray that this text finds you giving alms, praying and fasting, taking up our cross and seeing our destiny as Christians.

I pray that we may all have had a day of seeing our destiny as Christians.

Please pray for all those listed in both parts of the litany from last Monday.
